Dr. Neshan W. Sarkisian joined White’s Pet Hospital as our Managing DVM in 2020. After graduating with a biology degree from CSULA at the age of 19, he moved to South America to teach and eventually wound up pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. After almost a decade abroad, he returned to the U.S. to complete an academic internship in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.
He has worked in both small and large animal emergency facilities, and while he holds a special interest in camelid, ruminant, and honeybee medicine (he loves bugs!), his ultimate passion is found in caring for his canine and feline patients. Dr. Sarkisian grew up enjoying the beaches of Santa Barbara and always dreamed of returning to California in the hopes of living on the central coast. In 2018 he moved here to work in a mixed-species practice before eventually finding his way to White’s Pet Hospital. Dr. Sarkisian resides in Santa Ynez with his wife, son, dog, two cats, and a few tarantulas!
